To register for a workshop, call (619) 297-4110 or fax (619) 297-9897.Special guest workshops require payment in full at time of registration. There is NO REFUND for special guest workshops except for workshops canceled by the Shepherdess. Regular workshops require payment in full to guarantee your space. Payment minus a five dollar fee is refundable up to one week before class. Transfer in regular workshops up to one week only. Transfer fee is five dollars. A full refund is given promptly on all workshops canceled by The Shepherdess.

Learn the traditional art of crazy quilting using silk and velvet fabrics, and discover how to incorporate crochet into this patchwork technique. Review basic embroidery stitches and learn how to combine them to create your own unique stitches. Your collections of beads, buttons, threads, fabrics, and yarns will come into good use as you create this bag!

Double-Fused & Textured Chain -- Amy Meade

Use a micro torch and hand tools to create a fine silver textured chain and clasp that will become a wardrobe basic. Techniques covered include use of micro torch to fuse fine silver links, hammering techniques to produce differing results, texturing with metal stamps, S-clasp and jump ring creation technique, patina application and polish.

Ozark Bavarian Hat -- Margie Fish

While in Germany I noticed that everyone young and old was wearing fun ski caps. It seemed that the funkier the better. Back in San Diego we got in a shipment of Ozark yarn at The Shepherdess. Inspiration hit and the Ozark Bavarian Hat was born. It couldn’t be funkier or easier to make and what a great Christmas gift! Learn how to make ear flaps on circular needles and cast on stitches in-between to start the hat. Finish it off with beads to make it truly unique.

Forest Sprite Ring -- Amy Meade

Go green and create a unique, organic ring from scrap fine silver wire and precious metal clay paste from old projects (or use new materials and save any leftover scrap for future projects). Techniques covered include use of micro torch to fuse fine silver links and granulated silver balls, metal clay paste buildup and texturing, micro torch link pre-firing, patina application and polish.
